WHAT IS FALL PROTECTION?
Fall protection PPE is designed to help protect workers who are exposed to the risk of falling while working at height. Depending on the task and environment, this can include equipment designed for fall restraint, work positioning and fall arrest.

Fall protection equipment can include full-body harnesses, lanyards, shock absorbers, lifelines, connectors and self-retracting lifelines. Selecting the correct equipment is critical and should consider the work being performed, identified hazards, anchor system, fall-clearance requirements and compatibility between components.

Effective fall protection management also helps ensure equipment remains identifiable, serviceable and is inspected and replaced at the appropriate intervals.
